The Gibbons Apprenticeship Program has been featured in the first edition of Seton Hall Law At Work. This new series takes a look at innovative working arrangements between employers and graduates of the Seton Hall University School of Law. This article focuses on the Gibbons Apprenticeship Program, a client-focused attorney recruitment and development platform that exposes recent law school graduates to the day-to-day responsibilities of law firm junior associates and trains them in a “real world” law firm environment.
The 2011 edition of the Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business features 10 Gibbons practice areas and 18 individual attorneys ranked in the top tiers. The firm’s Intellectual Property Department and two of its attorneys in this area were ranked among the leaders in the state. Gibbons P.C. has launched an apprenticeship program to help maximize the value of its legal and client services while also providing a solid training ground for new attorneys. John Cahill will serve as the firm’s first apprentice, working in the Intellectual Property Department. “Gibbons is committed to anticipating client concerns and offering creative, proactive solutions,” says Patrick C.
